Practical. Cutting-Edge. Engaging.

That describes our training practice. We are recognized as training experts on subjects such as equal employment opportunity, diversity, managing protected leaves of absence, workplace violence prevention, avoiding wage-hour violations, ethics, and other workplace issues.

2007 is a compliance year for Assembly Bill 1825 training. Law firms and human resources consultants have created a cottage industry in this area. So, how do you choose the best trainer? Ask a few questions. What is the trainer’s practical experience in workplace law? Does the trainer have the entertaining and dynamic delivery necessary to keep your employees engaged? Does the firm regard training as a “loss leader” to build other business?

Put simply, Shaw Valenza LLP has the experience, the technique, and the commitment to training that combine to make a positive and effective training program for your organization. We have trained thousands of employees. Training is a primary practice area for us. Other firms model their programs on ones we have created. Accept no substitutes.

The trainer is the most important part of the training experience. Good employment lawyers do not necessarily make good trainers. We send only experienced trainers who are also competent and experienced employment lawyers. That translates into training that is both substantive and entertaining. We use case studies, audience participation, and storytelling to bring employment law to life.

Recent attendees have used terms such as “awesome,” “inspirational,” and “dynamic” to describe our sessions. We are proud of the testimonials we regularly receive about the positive impact of our training. If you want to see our reviews, we would be happy to share them with you.

We are offering our preferred contacts two options for AB 1825 compliance. The first, on-site training, allows us to create a program specifically tailored to your practices and procedures. The cost can be as little as $30 per person, depending on location and the number of attendees.

We also offer AB 1825 “public seminars” throughout the state. These sessions are particularly cost-effective for clients who employ only a few supervisors, or who have a number of supervisors in various locations. Our $50 per person rate includes a workbook and on-site certificate of compliance (discounts are available for groups of five or more). Our law firm competitors charge between $75 and $150 and up. And, you don’t always get what you pay for.
